Dan* is surprised when he returns from his lunch break to find things at work are not as he had left them. The office is...buzzing? He walks to his desk. Resting right in the center he finds an hourglass and a black sheet of paper. Thin white lines crisscross against the black background...a map? His eyes scan the office, and he realizes other desks have new objects too. Lauren's has a large plume sticking out of her pen cup. Marcus is typing next to what looks like a very old leather dictionary. What are these “gifts” and who is behind this?
Just then a new message pops up in the Slack chat he has left open on his computer. “Surprise! Today’s staff meeting has a special twist. See you in the conference room at 4.” Dan looks back over at Marcus, who is grinning. “TGIF?” he says, and Marcus chuckles. Neither of them are expecting, in a mere 3 hours, to find themselves in “teams” on the building’s top floor, navigating a maze of “cubicles,” racing to find the “The Zero Room” at the end of their maps, which holds “the promise of free neck and shoulder massages, a surprisingly chill palm reader, and many, many margaritas...”
